Pagent Complex

The PAgent Complex is the core of the Fuzzytopian bureaucratic machine, the headquarters of the mind-bogglingly complex Civil Service that safeguards the Fuzzytopian way of life via the expedient of interfering with any and all forms of social progress.

The Forbidden City of Beijing, China, is famous for having 9,999 buildings in only 74 hectares of space. Students of the Architectural Arts generally acknowledge that compared to the density of the PAgent Complex, the Forbidden City is a wide-open meadow. The physical embodiment of the Complex occupies a substantial portion of the capitol city. It is unclear precisely how large it is, mostly because the actual borders of the Complex seem to ebb and flow according to some complicated tide table unknowable by the average citizen (or for that matter, anyone else). However, estimates of its size range from 250-300 hectares.

Entry into the Fuzzytopian Civil Service may be accomplished by Ducal fiat, but is more commonly achieved by scoring well on the Fuzzytopia Civil Service Aptitude Examination (FCSAE). The FCSAE is administered only twice a year, on the first Thursday after the vernal equinox, and the second Tuesday after the autumnal equinox. The location of the FCSAE is a highly guarded secret, and therefore simply showing up for the examination is considered a passing score for the "domestic intelligence" portion of the exam.

The remainder of the FCSAE consists of questions carefully designed to evaluate the candidate's ability to memorize huge tracts of useless information, and then regurgitate it upon demand, as well as their ability to press a pencil into the inch-thick exam booklet deeply enough to legibly mark the goldenrod copy. A candidate that scores well on the FCSAE may look forward to a long and mind-numbing career spent obstructing the goals and desires of Fuzzytopian citizenry.

The gross structure of the Fuzzytopian Civil Service may be visualized using the following flowchart:
